After two years of existence, Seattle’s Olde Ghost offers up their first release entitled “If We Ever Get Out of This Alive…”. This emotionally and politically charged EP combines the intensity of Black Flag, the rawness of Swiz and the passion and urgency of Verbal Assault & 108. It blends late 80s & 90s hardcore with a modern twist and an uncompromising DIY and community-based ethic. Dual female/ male vocals from Chris LaPointe (Closed Casket, Himsa) and Sara Russert (To See You Broken, This Time Tomorrow) interplay throughout with melodic riffs and crushing guitars from Kirby Charles Johnson (Himsa, Everything Went Black). Add a solid low end from drummer Ego (Everything Went Black) and bassist Derrick Hachey (Grinch, 2 Minute Love) to produce a unique, layered sound that will get fans of the old and new schools of hardcore to stand up and notice.
