Worth mentioning that the Money Bag original, although it contains the instrumental of Pursuit and original version of Sippin Brandy (without the hey ho), it actually only has clean versions of both tracks...

I have both pressings and the original on Money Bag wins for me. It has both instrumentals and the sound quality is decent enough. The 2nd pressing on Big Boss does not include the instrumental of "In Pursuit Uptown", and the instrumental of "Sippin' Brandy" is actually the "Ho Remix" with annoying "Hey Ho" screaming in the chorus. You decide which copy you pick.

I concur with you, the 2nd pressing is so whack to me that I wouldn't even buy it if it was repressed at a cheap price! They thought that they did an improvement on it but in essence it was an epic off beat fail IMO. Like Will Smith said 25 years ago... Gimme a soft subtIe mix & if it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it...!!!

Had this copy but sold it - This is the pressing you need http://www.discogs.com/King-Sun-Sipping-Brandy-Inpursuit-Uptown/release/1199679 The 2nd Pressing on Big Boss Records has "Sipping Brandy" mixed significantly louder and clearer and the speed has been adjusted correctly. Still collectable, but 2nd pressing is what you want imo.

Yes you're right "In your opinion" because the added kick & snare is wack & this version is offbeat with a slower tempo. Also as the other member stated, the Hey Ho screaming in the hook on the instrumental version sucks along with leaving off the instrumental for In Pursuit Uptown!
